Meetings - Billable/Un-billable?

We value time with our customers, and face-to-face meetings are a great way to ensure we're on the pulse and meeting your expectations. If you need a quick meeting to discuss potential work, we provide this free of charge. However, if you're after more complex or specialist work, including fractional roles, consulting or project management, we would expect to charge appropriately.

Hourly Rates

To ensure we offer value and excellence in all we do, appropriate rates apply for our different services, such as Standard, Specialist or Training.

Standard services rate: £120 + VAT per hour

Most of our day-to-day services are billed at our Standard services rate.

Specialist services rate: £180 + VAT per hour

Some work requires a Specialist, such as our non-exec director, vCIO/vCTO and consulting services. This is charged at a higher rate because it requires an expert in the field.

Call Out and Travel

General UK Call Out Charges

The following call out charges apply for visits on the UK mainland unless otherwise agreed.

Mileage

If travel is billed based on mileage instead of our usual charges, we charge £0.60 + VAT per mile.

Flights or Alternative Transport

For visits more than 200 miles away or off of the UK mainland, we will charge appropriate transport costs to the customer as agreed prior to work being carried out. As a guide, we look to use comfortable and typically priced means of transport that minimise time spent travelling and avoid travelling at inconvenient times of the day where possible.

Staff Travel Compensation

When travel is required outside of a staff member's usual working hours, we pay them £15 per hour in recognition of their time spent for business purposes. This honours their time spent away from home and encourages us to minimise it for a healthy work-life balance. This is charged to our customers, who we trust will benefit from the valuable services our team provides. We reserve the right to waive this charge at our discretion and when agreed with the persons affected.

Subsistence

For visits in the UK more than 80 miles away, we charge the following to cover subsistence:

UK: £250 per night
Europe and Worldwide: £350 per night
